Professional, Instructional Services provided by current owner/operators of an award winning, successful on-site shredding company.

Merrie and Tom Elsberry have over 30 years of combined experience in positions requiring adherence to strict security regulations when dealing with confidential materials. Both are veterans of the United States Navy, Fleet Intelligence Center, Pearl Harbor Hawaii.

Tom managed and developed the computer support group, help desk and computer training group for the Computer Information Services Department of Lodgenet Entertainment and worked in the IT Department for Martin Marietta, Denver Aerospace Division for several years.

Merrie’s experience comes from several years in law enforcement communications as well as accounts payable, receivable, payroll and supervisory duties in new accounts for a major credit card company in the private sector.

Tom and Merrie are very active in the local Chamber of Commerce, serving on several committees and volunteering for special projects. They interact and contribute to the local military personnel by participating in the Military Affairs Committee and enjoy supporting new businesses through the Red Carpet Committee. Participating in the Small Business Council and Youth Excellence in Service committee gives them the opportunity to work with seasoned business people as well as outstanding youth in the community.

Tom serves on the Cheyenne Kiwanis Club board as well as the Cheyenne Frontier Days Public Relations Committee for Parades. He volunteers for several committees within the club and participates in a variety of community activities.

Merrie serves on the Oregon Trail Community Bank Board and is also an active Kiwanian. Tom and Merrie have been guest speakers in various business classes at Laramie County Community Colleges Business and Entrepreneurial Classes.

Merrie and Tom began researching the business of secure, on-site document shredding in November 2001. After several months of planning and market research A Thru Z Document Destruction, Inc. was open for business in December 2002. In March 2004 the Business/Marketing Plan of A Thru Z Document Destruction, Inc. was awarded the New Business Challenge Award and received several thousand dollars in grant money and in-kind services.

A Thru Z Document Destruction, Inc. has continued to grow and prosper. It is the desire of Tom and Merrie to share this experience and expertise with others.
